March Wishlist.

MARCH WISHLIST.

This month I want soft tones, luxe fabrics and tied up everything with military accents. This weather has got me thinking about Spring and a welcome break from black skinny jeans! It's really about time, mine have gone grey from over wear this season and I ripped them bashing my shin on a stupid unnecessary wall outside my house. Why couldn't I have smacked my knee, and then the rip would at least look intentional? #fashiongirlproblems

I Had To Google the Spelling.

I HAD TO GOOGLE THE SPELLING.

That's right, sorry I'm not sorry to my brownie leaders, who despite making me wear them never taught me how to spell culottes. I nearly had it, there was just an extra L hanging about unwanted. I haven't bought any yet, but I think these might be about to end all of that. I'm quite pleased that monochrome seems to be sticking about as well.

I NEED These Cullottes!

Mermaid Dreams.

MERMAID DREAMS.

Why are so many of my posts about mermaids? I can't really explain my dream of being a mermaid. I partly blame the Little Mermaid; as the only redheaded Disney princess she probably gave me hope that I'd find a prince, even while I grew more ginger by the day. Then I saw Daryl Hannah in Splash and that was that.

I don't understand it, since I hate having a wet face and the feeling of wet hair on my neck makes me well twitchy and cross. As you can imagine, I'm a dream to go on holiday with.

Anyway, last time I reverted to being five and plaited my hair before I went to bed, a friend told me the next day that I had mermaid hair. I nearly kissed her. So now I do it regularly and I wake up feeling a bit closer to the mermaid dream. So today I finished the feeling off with a fishtail little skirt. I'm only one step away from throwing myself in the bath fully clothed to see if I grow a tail.

I've also found the perfect lilac jumper, but we'll go into my confused feelings for lilac another day.

Capsule Wardrobe.

CAPSULE WARDROBE.

Capsule Wardrobe

I'm clearly still obsessed with the whole black-blue-grey-white thing that I posted about before. You wouldn't know it, as I don't look this chic. (Today I've gone for leopard print, net and gold chains and I look a bit like a Macklemore tribute act).

I don't feel like I've bought much like this either, and I reckon I'd definitely be happier if I had. Although I've bought a lot of grey. And I bought a blue and grey bag (which I need to show you, as it's incred). And I've bought black shoes. Ok maybe this has influenced me a bit. But I feel like I need to remember how much I like this when I go shopping and try and buy into it..rather than heading for the craziest thing that only a batty old art teacher should wear.

Also..can we just talk about HOW CUTE THAT CAT BAG IS. What's better than a cat with eyelashes? It would literally only hold my phone but I'm not sure I care. With that and all my art teacher clothes I'm well on my way to being avoided in the street.

Good.
